SHE / HER / HERS

KellyMarie Meek is the Coordinator of Prevention and Public Health at the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault, where she has worked since 2008. She has spent over 25 years working to end violence and support survivors, and she is passionate about mobilizing communities to build the future that we all want to live in. She has also been a foster parent for over 10 years and assists with the training and recruitment of new foster parents in Central Iowa. She lives in Des Moines with her wife Erin, their 4 children, and 2 dogs, and when she’s not actively working or parenting, she can usually be found staying up way past her bedtime reading, watching Star Trek, or admiring hairless animals on Instagram.

Matty Tate-Smith is the Public Affairs Coordinator at the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault. He has spent more than a decade working in nonprofit communications and legislative advocacy. He and his partner live in the Des Moines area with their son and 3 pets. They’ve also had the opportunity to be proud foster parents of more than 10 children over the years. In his spare time, Matty enjoys reading, writing, and shopping online for movie memorabilia to add to his unwieldy collection.
